Sofet diplomacy/non violence or cowardice.: Letter to Editor.

Father of the Nation had preached about Ethical , Moral values and about honesty.He had also preached non violence to the extent of turning the other cheek  that refers to responding to an aggressor without violence.

It is most unfortunate that today all the politicians belonging to the ruling and coalition  parties have totally forgotten about all the teachings of Gandhaji about morality & ethical values  but are very very scrupulously following his teaching about non violence.

If that was not so how does one explain total non action in  view if the following 

1. Chinese troops prevent our troops 19 times from carrying out patrolling in our own territory. 

2. Repeated Border violations by chinese troops .

3. Repeated Border violations by Pakistani troops.

4.Cease fire violations by Pakistani troops.

5.Tunneling across the LOC for infiltration of our territory by Pakistani troops.

6.Beheading of two Indian solders by Pakistani troops..

7. Numerous other transgressions by Pakistani and Chinese troops.

Latest attack across the border and killing of 8 Solders of Bihar Regiment.

In face of such blatant provocations option of soft diplomacy and non violence on the part of Government of India is inexplicable . Our neighbors do not see it as  soft diplomacy and non violence but as a sign of cowardice. Government will do well to emulate the Israel policy of swift retribution.
