Official Designation of Bhisi Dam Irrigation Project is " Bhisi Dam , D - 03441 " . However local and popular name is " Bhisi Lake / Bhisi Talav ". Bhisi Dam was constructed as parts of Irrigation Projects by the Government of Maharashtra in the year 1975 . It is built on and impounds a local Nallah . Nearest city to dam is Chimur in Chandrapur District of Maharashtra . The dam is an Earth fill Dam .The Length of dam is 990 m ( 3248.03 Feet ) , while the Height of the dam above lowest foundation is 13.47 m ( 44.1929 feet ) . Project has no proper spillway as such . Length of the spillway is not known. The Dam has ungated spillway . Dam's catchment area is not known . Maximum / Gross storage capacity is 2.29 MCM. Live storage capacity is 2.19 MCM. Now a days almost all the water bodies make for good picnic spots. Bhisi Lake is also a popular Tourist attraction for its scenic beauty .

Official Designation of Ghorazari Dam Irrigation Project is " Ghorazari Dam , D - 01006 " . However local and popular name is " Ghorazari Lake / Ghorazari Talav ". Ghorazari Dam was constructed as parts of Irrigation Projects by the Britishers during the British Raj in the Year 1923 . It is built on and impounds Gorazari River . Nearest city to dam is Nagbhir in Chandrapur District of Maharashtra . The dam is an Earth fill Dam .The Length of dam is 731.7 m ( 2400.5906 Feet ) , while the Height of the dam above lowest foundation is 23.55 m ( 77.2637 feet ) . Project has Ogee type of spillway as such.Length of the spillway is not known. The Dam has ungated spillway .The Dam's catchment area is 9.065 Thousand Hectors . Maximum / Gross storage capacity is 50.243 MCM. Live storage capacity is 43.163 MCM. Now a days almost all the water bodies make for good picnic spots. Ghorazari Lake is also a popular Tourist attraction for its scenic beauty .Hilly terrain and forest adds to the natural beauty.

Official Designation of Chandai Dam Irrigation Project is " Chandai Dam , D - 01387 " . However local and popular name is " Chandai Lake / Chandai Talav ". Locally it is also known as Neem-dela Talav. Chandai Dam was constructed as parts of Irrigation Projects by the Government of Maharashtra in the year 1983 . It is built on and impounds Chandai Nalla River . Nearest city to dam is Warora / Warora in Chandrapur District of Maharashtra . The dam is an Earth fill Dam .The Length of dam is 1830 m ( 6003.937 Feet ) , while the Height of the dam above lowest foundation is 11.91 m ( 39.0748 feet ) . Project has Ogee.... type of spillway . Length of the spillway is not known. The Dam has ungated spillway .The Dam's catchment area is 5.504 Thousand Hectors . Maximum / Gross storage capacity is 13.2 MCM. Live storage capacity is 10.69 MCM. Now a days almost all the water bodies make for good picnic spots. Chandai Lake is also a popular Tourist attraction for its scenic beauty .

Official Designation of Chargaon Dam Irrigation Project is " Chargaon Dam , D - 01364 " . However local and popular name is " Chargaon Lake / Chargaon Talav ". Chargaon Dam was constructed as parts of Irrigation Projects by the Government of Maharashtra in the year 1983 . It is built on and impounds Chargaon River . Nearest city to dam is Varora (Warora) in Chandrapur District of Maharashtra . The dam is an Earth fill Dam .The length of the dam is 3065 m ( 10055.77 Feet ) .However this length is divided in two section by a spillway. , The Height of the dam above lowest foundation is 14.4 m ( 47.2440 feet ) . Project has Ogee type spillway . Length of the spillway is not known. The Dam has ungated spillway . The Dam's catchment area is 14.83 Thousand Hectors . Maximum / Gross storage capacity is 21.7 MCM. Live storage capacity is 19.866 MCM. Now a days almost all the water bodies make for good picnic spots. Chargaon Lake is also a popular Tourist attraction for its scenic beauty .Hilly terrain and forest adds to the natural beauty.

Labhansarad Dam was constructed as parts of Irrigation Projects by the . Government of Maharashtra in the year 1987 . It is built on and impounds Labhansarad River . Nearest city to dam is Varora (Warora) in Chandrapur District of Maharashtra . The dam is an Earth fill Dam .The Length of dam is 1782 m ( 5846.457 Feet ) , while the Height of the dam above lowest foundation is 12.0 m ( 39.3701 feet ) . Project has Ogee type of spillway .Length of the spillway is not known. The Dam has ungated spillway . Dam's catchment area is not known .The Dam's catchment area is 4.87 Thousand Hectors . Nalleshwar Dam was constructed as parts of Irrigation Projects by the Britishers during the British Raj in the Year 1922. It is built on and impounds a local Nallah . Nearest city to dam is Shindewadi in Chandrapur District of Maharashtra . The dam is an Earth fill Dam .The Length of dam is 1112 m ( 3648.294 Feet ) , while the Height of the dam above lowest foundation is 20.35 m ( 66.7650 feet ) . Project has other type of spillway.Length of the spillway is not known. The Dam has ungated spillway. The Dam's catchment area is 8.741 Thousand Hectors . Maximum / Gross storage capacity is 10.93 MCM. Live storage capacity is 10.23 MCM. Now a days almost all the water bodies make for good picnic spots. Nearest city to dam is Shindewahi in Chandrapur District of Maharashtra . The dam is an Earth fill Dam .The Length of dam is 430 m ( 1410.76 Feet ) , while the Height of the dam above lowest foundation is 11.64 m ( 38.1889 feet ) . Project has .no proper spillway as such.Length of the spillway is not known. The Dam has ungated spillway. Dam's catchment area is not known . Maximum / Gross storage capacity is 2.44 MCM. Live storage capacity is 2.3 MCM. Now a days almost all the water bodies make for good picnic spots .Gadmoshi Lake is also a popular Tourist attraction for its scenic beauty .Hilly terrain and forest adds to the natural beauty.

Nearest city to dam is Shindewahi in Chandrapur District of Maharashtra . The dam is an Earth fill Dam .The Length of dam is 884 m ( 2900.26 Feet ) , while the Height of the dam above lowest foundation is 10.36 m ( 33.9895 feet ) . Project has no proper spillway as such.Length of the spillway is not known. The Dam has ungated spillway .Dam's catchment area is not known . Maximum / Gross storage capacity is 4.72 MCM. Live storage capacity is 4.47 MCM.
