Keshavshivani Project was constructed as part of irrigation projects by Government of Maharashtra the year of completion the year 1983 . Nearest city to dam is Shindkhed Raja and the Dam is situated in Shindkhed Raja Taluka of Buldana District of Maharashtra . Keshavshivani Project is built on and impounds a local nallah. . The Project Dam is an Earth-fill Gravity Dam . Purpose of the Project is for irrigation . The length of the Dam is 588 m ( 1929.13 Feet ) . while the height of the dam above lowest foundation is 16.1 m ( 52.82 Feet ) . Detailed information about project spillway is not available . Spillway length is not known . At least whatever is left of what was once a Spillway , is in a very bad condition being eroded and washed away and only spillway canal exists. Khadakpurna Reservoir is locally also known as "Sant Chokha Mela Sagar (from Lokstta) " . Khadakpurna Project was constructed as part of irrigation projects by Government of Maharashtra the year of completion 2008. Nearest city to dam is Deulkhed Raja and the Dam is situated in Buldana District of Maharashtra. Khadakpurna Project is built on and impounds Purna River. The Project Dam is composite earthen dam with masonary, Gravity Dam . Purpose of the Project is for irrigation. The length of the Dam is 2400 m ( 1929.13 Feet ). while the height of the dam above lowest foundation is 18.5 m ( 52.82 Feet ). It has central gated spillway. spillway It has 19 Spilway gares. Nearest city to dam is Mehkar and the Dam is situated in Mehkar Taluka of Buldana District of Maharashtra . Pentakali Project is built on and impounds Penganga River. The dam is earth fill gravity + masonry dam. The purpose of the dam and project is Irrigation and Hydroelectricity generation . The dam is divided in two portions by the Spillway. The portion Southern side of the spillway is 480 m ( 1574.8 Feet ) + The portion Northern side of the spillway is 331 m ( 1085.96 Feet ) . The Total length of the Dam , including the Spillway is 990 m ( 3248.03 Feet ) . while the height of the dam above lowest foundation is 27.5 m ( 90.22 Feet ) . Locally this is also known as " Kalmeshwar Talav" or " Kalmeshwar Lake" . Kalmeshwar Project was constructed as part of irrigation projects by the Government of Maharashtra in the year 1998 . Nearest city to dam is Mehkar and the Dam is situated in Mehkar Taluka of Buldana District of Maharashtra . Kalmeshwar Project is built on and impounds a Local Nallah. The dam is earth fill gravity dam. The purpose of the dam and project is Irrigation . The length of the Dam is 470 m ( 1541.99 Feet ) . while the height of the dam above lowest foundation is 16.09 m ( 52.78 Feet ) . Spillway length is not known . However measured length of the spillway is 74 m ( 242 Feet ) .Spillway is now in damaged condition , but appears to be of other type and is not gated. Catchment area of Kalmeshwar Reservoir is not known. . Maximum / Gross storage capacity of Kalmeshwar Reservoir is 1.451 MCM. Live storage capacity is 1.29 MCM . Now a days almost all the water bodies make for good picnic spots Kalmeshwar lake is also a popular Tourist attraction for its scenic beauty .
