Locally this is also known as " Patoda Talav " or " Patoda Lake" . Patoda Project was constructed as part of irrigation projects by the Government of Maharashtra in the year 1998 . Nearest city to dam is Chikhali and the Dam is situated in Chikhali Taluka of Buldana District of Maharashtra . Patoda Project is built on and impounds a Local Nallah. The dam is earth fill gravity dam. The purpose of the dam and project is Irrigation . The length of the Dam is 780 m ( 2559.06 Feet ) . while the height of the dam above lowest foundation is 17.14 m ( 56.23 Feet ) . Spillway length is not known . However , measured length of the spillway is 95 m ( 310 Feet ) .Spillway appears to be of other type and is not gated. Catchment area of Patoda Reservoir is not known. . Telhara Project was constructed as part of irrigation projects by the Government of Maharashtra in the year 1986 . Nearest city to dam is Chikhali and the Dam is situated in Chikhali Taluka of Buldana District of Maharashtra . Telhara Project is built on and impounds a Local Nallah. The dam is earth fill gravity dam. The purpose of the dam and project is Irrigation . The length of the Dam is 395 m ( 1296 Feet ) . while the height of the dam above lowest foundation is 16.56 m ( 54.33 Feet ) . Information about dam spillway is not know. Nearest city to dam is Chikhali and the Dam is situated in Chikhali Taluka of Buldana District of Maharashtra . Haralkhed Project is built on and impounds a Local Nallah. The dam is earth fill gravity dam. The purpose of the dam and project is Irrigation . The length of the Dam is 250 m ( 820.21 Feet ) . while the height of the dam above lowest foundation is 20.01 m ( 65.64 Feet ) . Information about dam spillway is not known. Utawali Reservoir was created as a result of construction of Utawali Dam of Utawali Irrigation Project which impounds two separate Rivers, Utawali and Lendi Nalla by two separate Dams and joining the two reservoirs by a canal cutting across the intervening hill. Official Designation of the The Project is " Utawali D - 03131" . Locally this is also known as " Utawali Talav " or " Utawali Lake" . Utawali Project was constructed as part of irrigation projects by the Government of Maharashtra . The year of completion of the project is not known . Nearest city to dam is Mehkar and the Dam is situated in Mehkar Taluka of Buldana District of Maharashtra . The dam is earth fill gravity + Masonry dam. The purpose of the dam and project is Irrigation . The length of the Dam is 2112 m ( 6929.13 Feet ) . while the height of the dam above lowest foundation is 26.07 m ( 85.53 Feet ) . The spillway is of Ogee type and spillway length is 345 m ( 1133.85 Feet ) . It is ungated . Catchment area of Utawali Reservoir is 21.123 Thousand Hectors. Mun Reservoir was created as a result of construction of Mun Dam of Mun Irrigation Project . Official Designation of the The Project is " Mun D - 03055" . Locally this is also known as " Mun Talav " or " Mun Lake" . Mun Project was constructed as part of irrigation projects by the Government of Maharashtra in the year 1998 and impounds Mun River . Nearest city to dam is Khamgaon and the Dam is situated in Khamgaon Taluka of Buldana District of Maharashtra . The dam is earth fill gravity dam. The purpose of the dam and project is Irrigation . The dam is divided in two portions by the Spillway. The portion on the left side ( West ) of the spillway is 384 m ( 1259.84 Feet ) + The portion on the Right ( East ) side of the spillway is 1010 m ( 3313.64 Feet ) . The Total length of the Dam , including the Spillway is 1466 m ( 4809.71 Feet ) . while the height of the dam above lowest foundation is 30.2 m ( 99.08 Feet ) . The spillway is of Ogee type and spillway length is 72 m ( 236.22 Feet ) . It has Five Radial type of spillway gates. . Catchment area of Mun Reservoir is 31.404 Thousand Hectors. Maximum / Gross storage capacity of Mun Reservoir is 42,48 MCM. Live storage capacity is 36.83 MCM . Torna Reservoir was created as a result of construction of Torna Dam of Torna Irrigation Project . Official Designation of the The Project is " Torna D - 03106" . Locally this is also known as " Torna Talav " or " Torna Lake" . Mun Project was constructed as part of irrigation projects by the Government of Maharashtra in the year 1998 and impounds Mun River . Nearest city to dam is Khamgaon and the Dam is situated in Khamgaon Taluka of Buldana District of Maharashtra . The Dam itself is in Khamgaon Taluka but the Reservoir also spreads in Mehkar Taluka .The dam is earth fill gravity dam. The purpose of the dam and project is Irrigation . The length of the Dam is 976 m ( 3202.1 Feet ) . while the height of the dam above lowest foundation is 23 m (75.45 Feet ) .
