COVID-19 Pandemic- The Life must go on.
At national level for the last few days we have hit world record on daily increase and deaths due to pandemic with daily active cases crossing 90,000 and 1115 Deaths.
Economic activity is picking up with gradual opening of lockdown restrictions which permit economic activity by big time manufacturers, SMEs big and small businesses.
Despite this GDP last quarter shrinking by 23.9%.
In this situation Govt is on horns of dilemma. It is caught between deep sea and the Devil. Facing a catch 22 situation.
My heart goes out to PM Narendra Modi and the Govt led by him. No matter what action he takes opposition parties will be strident in their condemnation. While at the same time in privately, in some corner of their collective conscious or subconscious they must be thanking their stars that it is not they who are in the driver's sear. Not in the govt under such testing times.
I personally feel that further opening up of the restrictions, opening up of metros, starting of schools, Opening of malls, restaurants etc with some basic precautions is a step in the right right direction.
By the end of the day one can only say "que sera sera"
The life must go on.
