Since the time Pakistan sponsored militancy has started in J & K, there have been news paper reports about celebrations etc in J &K and other parts of the country after every attack on Defence and Paramilitary forces where members of these forces have been Martyred.
Considering that these reports are published only after due verification, it was saddening to see that State Govt, Central Govt and law enforcement agencies did not take any action. Pak and terrorist sympathisers, separatists, stone pelters etc were emboldened and continue in their Anti Indian,treasonous activity, despite an offence having been committed.
It was heartening to read two news items in today's news papers.
One that security cover for separatists has been removed and,
Second, FIRs have been registered all over the country against people indulging in treasonous activities.
warmed the cockles of my heart.
Well done law enforcement agencies and the Govt. As they say
BETTER LATE THAN NEVER.
Sadly due to to our just judicial system they will never be punished.
Appeals to various courts will go on for years and years. The guilty will roam free, continue in their Anti national activities while on bail. Sad.
Next step,
Law should be enacted wherein no appeals to be entertained in case of Anti National and Treasonous activities.
