Everyone knows that such a sign by the road side indicates that 35 KMPH is maximum speed at which one can drive on this road / highway.
What very few will know that this speed limit sign is erected on a 8 lane concrete state highway.
It is common knowledge that in TOP gear, most of the two and four wheelers struggle to maintain speeds below 40 KMPH. Engine starts knocking, gear train is put to tremendous unnecessary strain adversely affecting performance and life of the vehicle.
Given the condition of the road and slow speed performance of two / four wheeler, even the most law abiding citizen of India are not likely to follow this speed limit.
It is moot point whether the worthies who framed this ridiculous and stupid speed limit will follow it themselves.
A question begs to be answered.
Do those authorities who are made responsible to frame speed limits ever think logically or apply there mind and also consider road conditions, vehicle performance etc before arriving at and imposing such limits.
