Letter to Editor : Executive say in Judicial appointments.

My last three letters did not see the light of the day . Let us see what happens to this  :-)

Subject : Executive say in Judicial appointments.
Sir ,
Last 64 years of  democratic history of our  nation indicates that every time Judiciary has thwarted nefarious designs of the political party in power there has been talk of changing the judicial system.
Mrs Indira Gandhi , the all powerful Prime Minister wanted " Committed Juduciary " . Thank the Lord that due  to the great good fortune of aam admi  and citizens of India that her wishes were never fulfilled .
Now ,  after very very major scandals like CWG , 2 G , Coal Gate , Railway Board appointments , Functioning of autonomous bodies like CBI  , where treason like loot of national wealth and mis-governance  was exposed  ,  only due to  Judicial intervention  the Government has not been able to sweep them under the carpet . and it forced the Government to take some action .
Obviously such ruling / intervention  by The Apex Court has made  Judiciary a thorn in mis- governance  of UPA II Government .
Therefore , a fresh move by the Government along these lines to change the judiciary was expected by the aam admi . Even then , now that it has been mooted by no less a person then the Law Minister himself has come as a shock and must be cause of concern for each and every citizen of India. It is quite clear that the Law Minister does not have the larger National interest of the Nation at heart but serving the interests of ruling party .
It is bounden duty of every citizen to do every thing in their power to ensure that Government does not succeed in its malafide intentions
Mera Bharat Mahan .
P M Velankar.
