Some information about Purna  Irrigation Project.

Official Designation of The Project is " Purna D - 031257" . Locally this is also known as " Purna  Talav " or " Purna Lake" . Project was constructed as part of irrigation/ Hydro electric/ Water supply projects by the Government of Maharashtra in the year 2006 and impounds Purna River.  Nearest city to dam is Amravati and the Dam is situated in Chandurbazar taluka of Amravati District of Maharashtra . The Dam is an Earth-fill and Masonry Dam . Purpose of the Project irrigation/ Hydro electric/ Water supply . The length of the Dam is 3120 m ( 10236.22 Feet ). . while the height of the dam above lowest foundation is 45.395 m ( 148.933727 Feet ). The dam has Ogee Type of spillway. Purna Dam has 9 Radial Type of spillway gates.

Catchment area of Purna  Reservoir is 39,079 Th ha. Maximum / Gross storage capacity of Purna Reservoir is 41.759 MCM. . Live storage capacity as is given is 35.37 MCM.

Official Designation of Chargad Dam Irrigation Project is "  Chargad   Dam , D - 03542 " . However local and popular name is   "  Chargad  Lake / Chargad  Talav ". Chargad  Dam was constructed as parts of Irrigation Projects  by the Government of Maharashtra in the year 2003.  It is built on and impounds  Chargad  River . Nearest city to dam is  Amravati in Taluka Chandurbazar of Amravati District of Maharashtra . The dam is an Earth fill   Dam . The purpose of the dam is for Irrigation,Drinking / Water Supply . The  Length of dam is  3740 m ( 12270.34 Feet )  , while the Height of the dam above lowest foundation is 24.5 m ( 80.3805 Feet ) . Any type of information about the Project   Spillway is not available at all .  Length of the spillway is not known.  The Dam has ungated spillway.  Dam's catchment area is not known . Official Designation of  Upper Wardha  Dam Irrigation Project is " Upper Wardha Dam , D - 02982 " . However local and popular name is   "  Nal- Damayanti  Sagar .  Upper Wardha   Dam was constructed as parts of Irrigation Projects  by the  Government of Maharashtra in the year 1993 .  It is built on and impounds a Wardha  River , a tributary of the Godavari River,  near Simroha village,Taluka Morshi,in  Wardha District of Maharashtra . The dam is an Earth fill + Masonry  gravity  Dam .The  Length of dam is 5920 m ( 19422.57 Feet )  , while the Height of the dam above lowest foundation is 46.2 m ( 151.5748 feet ) .  Project has  Ogee.... type of spillway .  Length of the spillway is  240.5 m ( 789.04192759.8425 Feet  ).  The Dam has  13 Radial  type of spill gates. The Dam's catchment area is 430.2 Thousand Hectors . Maximum / Gross storage capacity is 678.27  MCM. Live storage capacity is 564.05 MCM.

Official Designation of  Jamgaon Dam Irrigation Project is " Jamgaon  Dam , D - 03998 " . cal and popular name is   " Jamgaon   Lake /  Jamgaon    Talav ". Jamgaon   Dam was constructed as parts of Irrigation Projects  by the Government of Maharashtra in the year 1981 .  It is built on and impounds a local Nallah. Nearest city to dam is Warud in  Warud Taluka of Amravati  District of Maharashtra . The dam is an Earth fill Dam .The  Length of dam is 410 m ( 1345.14 Feet )  , while the Height of the dam above lowest foundation is 13 m ( 42.6509 feet ) .  Project has  other  type of  spillway .Length of the spillway is  not known.  The Dam has ungated spillway . Dam's catchment area is not known . Maximum / Gross storage capacity is  0.67  MCM. Live storage capacity is 0.64 MCM.

Some information about Wai Irrigation Project.

As per google maps location of Wai Dam is clearly marked in State of Madhya Pradesh. However as per WRIS, it is shown as in Amravati District of Maharashtra  

There are two dams with the name Wai in Maharashtra. .1.near Warud in Amravati District and 2. near Kelapur in Yavatmal District. 
Official Designation of   Wai   Dam Irrigation Project is " Wai   Dam , D - 05038 " . However local and popular name is   "  Wai    Lake / Wai     Talav ".  Wai    Dam was constructed as parts of Irrigation Projects  by the Government of Maharashtra in the year 1973. It is built on and impounds Bel River. Nearest city to dam is  Warud in Taluka Warud of  Amravati District of Maharashtra . The dam is an Earth fill Dam.The  Length of dam is 1311 m ( 4301.181 Feet )  , while the Height of the dam above lowest foundation is 16.3 m ( 53.4776 feet ) . Any type of information about the Project Spillway is not available at all...... Project has no proper spillway as such  .  Length of the spillway is not known. The Dam has ungated spillway . The dam is an Earth  Dam divided in two portions , Left and Right Bank by the Dam's Spillway..The  Length of dam is 2632 m ( 8635.171 Feet )  , while the Height of the dam above lowest foundation is 18.00 m ( 59.0551 feet ) . Satnoor   Dam was constructed as part of Irrigation, Drinking and water supply Project  by the the  Government of Maharashtra in the year 1980.  It is built on and impounds a local Nallah . Nearest city to dam is  Warud in Taluka Warud in Amravati   District of Maharashtra . The dam is an Earth fill   Dam .The  Length of dam is 1140 m ( 3740.157 Feet )  , while the Height of the dam above lowest foundation is 51.1154 m ( 51.1154 feet ) . Any type of information about the Project Spillway is not available at all.  Project has type of no proper spillway as such.Length of the spillway is not known.  The Dam has ungated spillway. The dam is an Earth fill  Dam .The  Length of dam is 730 m ( 2395.01 Feet )  , while the Height of the dam above lowest foundation is 30.36 m ( 99.6062 feet ) .Project has other  type of  spillway . Length of the spillway is  501.969 m ( 501.969 Feet  ).  The Dam has ungated spillway.The Dam's catchment area is 3.51 Thousand Hectors . Maximum / Gross storage capacity is  5.204  MCM. The dam is an Earth fill   Dam .The purpose of the dam is for Irrigation , The  Length of dam is  559 m ( 1833.99 Feet )  , while the Height of the dam above lowest foundation is 13.76 m ( 45.1443 Feet ) . Dastapur  Dam was constructed as parts of Irrigation Projects  by the Government of Maharashtra in the year 1982.  It is built on and impounds a local Nallah .  Nearest city to dam is  Amravati in Teluka Amravati in Amravati District of Maharashtra . The dam is an Earth fill  Dam .The purpose of the dam is for Irrigation .The  Length of dam is  640 m ( 2099.74 Feet )  , while the Height of the dam above lowest foundation is 14.02 m ( 45.9973 Feet ) . Any type of information about  the  Project   Spillway is not available at all. Project has no proper spillway as such . Length of the spillway is  not known.  The Dam has ungated spillway.
