Hotel Marigold.

Went to Hyderabad to attend the 58th Anniversary Reunion of Commissioning our course.  Organisers had selected Hotel Marigold for our stay and functions.

The Review.

In case you land up in Hyderabad around peak traffic time, drive to Marigold tries your patience as the hotel is located in one of the busy areas.

Once you reach, a few hundred meters long private approach lane of the hotel, things improve for the better.

Marigold is located on a fairly large property. The staff in charge of landscaping and plantations have done a good job. An early morning stroll in this well-maintained garden is quite refreshing.

The rooms have a small sitout space attached to the room which themselves are spacious. The bathrooms are quite OK.

The breakfast spread is quite lavish and offers what all is expected of a good star hotel. 

The Staff is helpful and courteous. 

 All in all a good place to stay.

High Tech Traffic Signal Lights.

Nagpur Municipal Corporation has been, for some months now, installing 'High Tech Traffic Lights' on almost every square. 

High Tech Traffic Lights.

The lights are mounted on very tall "L" shaped pillars with the arm of the "L" extending to the centre of the road.  In addition to the traffic signals mounted on the left of the road and the end of the L arm, High in the middle of the road, signal lights 'Red', 'Orange', and 'Green' are also duplicated on the horizontal as well as on the verticle arms of these High Tech Traffic Signal Lights.

Quite a lot of money is being spent on these very impressive-looking High Tech Traffic Signal Lights. I personally feel that to do justice to these sophisticated lights which are clearly visible from long distances we MUST FIRST educate a very large number of Nagpurians of various casts, creeds and religions to faithfully follow the Traffic rules.

If these very large numbers of UNEDUCATED Nagpurians of various casts, creeds and religions keep jumping the red lights and flouting every traffic rule we the Nagpurians will be doing a great disservice to the elegant and beautiful High Tech Traffic Signal Lights.
