It was 07 March 2011, While logged on at around 1530 - 1600 hrs, I saw Dadoo' s position at Firozshah Kotla. I was a bit flummoxed. World Cup match fixture between Canada and Kenya , two of the minnow - est teams ,was in progress at that ground in Delhi when Dadoo was there. Those who know Dadoo, know that he is a bit of a serious person not given to missing the office or work , not at all interested in the game of cricket .It was no wonder I was flummoxed to know that he was witnessing a live cricket match , any one would have been
Next morning during his regular transit call ,( Dadoo calls up very regularly when he is in transit between his home and office,hence I call it transit call.) he was describing the experience . Surprise was that he carried on and on , so much so that Mummy gave me the phone and went to attend to her chores. While listening to him I was clean bowled,caught in the slip , was run out totally floored . In my wildest of dreams I could have never imagined Dadoo talking so animatedly , so enthusiastically with such relish and so much enjoyment about a cricket match :-) He knew about my love and preference to watch the cricket matches on TV due to the advantages . Dadoo every which way tried to convince me to watch a match live just to get the unique experience.. In fact he suggested that if at all possible I should try to witness live match between India and South Africa to be held at Nagpur on 12 March 2011.
