Latest letter to the editor .

Sir ,
Killing of 12 Maoist by the police & CRPF personnel in WB came as a rare but welcome news . It was good to read that for a change the security forces have given back as good as they have been getting in the past . They need to be congratulated and our best wishes to them .
However a word of caution . Now whole heap of so called intellectuals and human rights organisations, including a few corrupt and self-serving politicians are going to make a hue & cry about the excesses and human rights violation , killing of innocents , fake encounters etc etc . The Government must stand firmly behind the security forces and give a fitting reply to all those intellectuals and human rights organisations . Unfortunately even though the dead body of the female Maoist deserved to be carried the way it was , it will still hurt the sensibilities of soft hearted population and give a undeserving handle to all those intellectuals and human rights organisations. Print and electronic media must exercise dis creation in what type of photos are published .

14 June 1973

We got married today . We are sitting on throne like seats but we are not looking comfortable and are as  far apart as could be .


We are looking a bit serious . We are serious because we had seen and met each other for the first time in our life only about 15 days back , There after we had met each other only a few times . We hardly had any communication channels open between us . We really did not know each other . We are serious because of all the aforesaid facts we were afraid and uncertain of the future . We were afraid because we were strangers entering into wedlock for life !!!

14 June 2010 . Nagpur . 37 years on .

We are close together , touching each other . We are smiling . We are smiling because now we have known each other for 37 years . We have been through the thick and the thin of life . Through the easy times and the hard times . Compared to me She has had much harder time of it due to my drinking habits :-(  . I  am extremely grateful to her for standing by me and giving me her full support in each and every endeavour under taken by me in-spite of all my draw backs . And my love for her increases with every passing day.

We feel in a relationship there should be Love and Respect . Love without respect or respect without love does not make for a complete relationship . In these past 37 years we have learned to Love AND respect each other . Now the communication between us is so good that very often there are times when we communicate in silence , with out any words . This very often is becoming more oftener :-) .

We have raised a family and tried to be good parents .We have tried to bring up the children as best as we could. We have tried to bring up children with good human values and to become good and responsible citizens . We think we have done a fair job of what we set out to do and wanted to achieve .  She deserves major credit for whatever success we have achieved in all our endeavours .

God and life has been kind to us . The last 37 years have had more positives , more happiness more contentment then otherwise . For that we thank God and pray that in future also he be as benevolent towards us as he has been these last 37 years . We also pray that our children also have a happy and fruitful life . AMEN .

Generally I used to work on the map till it was complete a then put it on the blog . The whole thing used to be too long and may have discouraged some from reading :-)
Now I am going to put up the map as it comes along may be it will encourage readers and by the end of it they would have done the trip with us :).
